The Saskatchewan School Boards Association says it is now official. A new collective agreement by the Government-Trustee Bargaining Committee and the Teachers’ Bargaining Committee was signed today (Thurs). In a news release, president of the SSBA, Dr. Shawn Davidson, says the Association appreciates all the work that has been done to come to this agreement.
The Government-Trustee Bargaining Committee includes four people who represent school boards as employers on the committee, and five government representatives, as the funder of education. Davidson says, “School boards can now move forward with the timely implementation of the agreement and focus on a successful conclusion to this school year.”
On March 4th, a binding arbitration board decided that class complexity provisions could be included in the Provincial Collective Bargaining Agreement.
