This week, in two unrelated cases, Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit has charged two Saskatoon men with child exploitation offences.
An investigation into child pornography commenced in January this year and on February 25th the ICE Unit executed a search warrant at a home in Saskatoon where electronic devices were seized and examined. Subsequently, 75-year-old John Tamosiunis of Saskatoon was charged on Wednesday with two counts of Possession of Child Pornography. He makes a second court appearance Friday (April 4).
In the second case, the ICE Unit began a child exploitation investigation related to child pornography in October 2024. This Thursday the ICE Unit executed a search warrant at a Saskatoon home where electronic devices were examined on site.
Twenty-five-year-old William Phillip Mcleod of Saskatoon was charged with two counts of Possession of Child Pornography, and one count each of Make Available Child Pornography and Making Child Pornography. Mcleod appeared in court Thursday and was remanded until his next court appearance on Monday.
