The 2025 Tony Cote First Nations Winter Games start today and run through Thursday at various venues in Saskatoon. Hosted by the Peter Ballantyne First Nation and the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations, the multi-sport event includes competition in badminton, basketball, curling, volleyball, table tennis and hockey. Young athletes from all 74 First Nations in Saskatchewan are expected to take part. The Opening Ceremonies and Parade of Nations takes place today between 5 and 10 p.m. at Prairieland Park.
