The Moose Jaw Police Service says officers responded to a hit and run around 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday involving a 12-year-old youth.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Caribou Street West and 6th Avenue Northwest and police were initially told that a vehicle struck the youth while they were on a bike and fled the scene.
The 12-year-old was taken to hospital by EMS to be treated for minor injuries.
Moose Jaw Police say their investigation, which included witness statement and video, indicated there was no evidence of a hit and run. The police also cautioned the public about sharing information on social media however did not offer an alternative explanation as to what happened to the youth.
