Four people have been charged following two traffic stops by Saskatoon Police on Monday night.
Officers pulled a vehicle over near Spark Avenue and Grant Street—in the Forest Grove area—around 10:15pm.
Police say the driver provided a false name and after searching the vehicle, officers recovered a sawed-off shotgun, ammunition, and additional ID belonging to other people. Once police confirmed the driver’s real identity, it was determined that the 35-year-old man also had outstanding warrants.
Four hours later, there was a similar incident in the 100 Block of Avenue O South. A 29-year-old man provided a false name to officers and a vehicle search turned up a shotgun, 322 grams of crack cocaine, 263 grams of methamphetamine and other tools of the drug trade. The man and two passengers—a 38-year-old woman and a 30-year-old woman—face a total of 18 charges.
