An 18-year-old woman is charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon following a stabbing during an attempted robbery from a Diefenbaker Drive convenience store Tuesday morning.
According to a Saskatoon Police Service news release, officers responded to a reported stabbing at about 6:30 a.m. at the convenience store in the 3700 block of Diefenbaker Drive. Upon arrival, police found a woman who had called to report that she had stabbed a man, who was a store employee. The 45-year-old victim had prevented her from leaving without paying for her items. Officers seized a knife and too the 18-year-old female suspect into custody. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
