Encouraging everyone to participate in the cleanup of the city, Prince Albert is beginning their annual ”2025 Pitch-In’ campaign in an effort to get the community to keep it clean and beautiful.
Community clean up events will occur through Monday, May 5th to Saturday, May 10th. Three locations throughout the city are approved for waste drop off. These include Kinsmen Water Park Parking Lot, the corner of 6th Avenue East and 10th Street East and P-A-G-C Cultural Centre.
Accepted items are household garbage, electronics, metal, appliances, grass and leaves and recyclables.
Items not accepted are: tires and hazardous household waste. Tires have an alternative drop-off location at Kal-Tire on 300-38th Street East and OK Tire and Auto Repair Service at 1610 1st Avenue West. Residents can drop off up to ten rimless tires per person, for free, at those locations. Tires can also be disposed of at the landfill for a fee.
Hazardous waste Disposal including adhesives, aerosols, corrosives, fuels, and other materials can be safely disposed of at the Household Hazardous Waste Event on Saturday, September 13th, 2025.
Friday, May 9th between 9 am and 12 pm, cleanup of 2nd Avenue will occur to get summer ready. The City of Prince Albert invites businesses and residents to cut grass, pick up trash and help give the busy street a fresh look.
A BBQ is offered afterwards as a thank you for time and effort from 12 pm to 2 pm at the Tourism Centre.
Volunteers are needed at each cleanup site. Visit www.citypa.ca/volunteer for more information.
