Two men have been arrested by Saskatoon Police following a drug trafficking investigation.
Shortly after 6:00 p.m. on Friday, members of the Crime Reduction Team, arrested a 39-year-old man at a business in the 2100 block of 8th Street East. A search located cash, cocaine, and a knife. He was also wanted Canada-wide for breach of statutory release and several criminal code warrants.
A half-hour later, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Phelps Way and Tweed Lane. An 18-year-old male was arrested after being found to be in possession of cash, cocaine, and a knife, as well.
Following these arrests, officers executed search warrants at homes on Stoney Ridge Crescent in the RM of Aberdeen, in the 100 block of Phelps Way, and at a business in the 300 block of 103rd Street West.
At these homes, police seized 4200 hydromorphone 8 mg tablets, 7810.7 grams of powdered cocaine, $428,795 CAD, two CO2 pellet pistols, a knife, a machete, 9mm ammunition, and cellular devices.
Both men have been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime, and various weapons-related offences.
