The Saskatchewan All-Terrain Vehicle Association (SATVA) is reminding ATV riders, through their safety campaign, to “Ride Safe, Ride Smart”.

May long weekend is often the time when riders are eager to get out on the trails throughout the province.

SATVA recommends riders follow important safety tips which include:

-not riding under the influence of drugs or alcohol,

-wear the correct gear to keep you protected,

-avoid risky manoeuvres,

-plan ahead by bringing a cell phone and basic first aid kit and,

-know the rules about licensing and approved safety courses for ATV riding.
