An early morning robbery and assault on the Red Pheasant Cree Nation has the Saskatchewan RCMP asking for the public’s assistance with any sightings of a blue car involved in the incident.
At about 5:25 a.m. Monday morning, officers with the Battlefords RCMP responded to a report of a robbery and assault on the Red Pheasant Cree Nation and determined that two males approached a residence and pointed a firearm at an occupant. An adult male exited the residence and a physical altercation ensued between him and the two males, who then stole a vehicle from the residence. The adult male from the residence sustained injuries consistent with stab wounds and was transported to hospital with injuries described as serious but non-life-threatening. Police could not immediately locate the suspects or the vehicle – a blue, four-door 2015 Hyundai Sonata with Saskatchewan license plate 786 LHD. The suspects have not been located and Battlefords RCMP continue to investigate and are asking the public with assistance in locating the vehicle, reminding the public to not approach the blue car if you see it, but to report sightings or any information about the incident, to 310-RCMP or anonymously to Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
