Corman Park Police are encouraging people to find a safe ride after a potentially tragic outcome was averted.

Corman Park Police officers were conducting patrols on Highway 12 near Martensville around 2:00 a.m. on Sunday when officers saw a vehicle driving the wrong way on the divided highway at speeds near 140 kilometres per hour.

CPPS says before being stopped the vehicle almost caused multiple head on collisions with oncoming unsuspecting motorists. The driver was arrested and charged with multiple impaired driving charges as well as other offences.
