Several weeks ago, it was learned that Conexus, Cornerstone and Synergy Credit Unions would be merging to form one entity as a result of a business decision.

Now, it’s been announced that the new credit union will go by the name Conexus, and the CEO has been appointed as Celina Philpot.

A news release says the new name was chosen after a thorough market assessment confirmed it resonates most strongly with people across Saskatchewan. The new credit union will serve more than 200,000 members, through 57 branches, across 50 communities and will unite 1,400 employees across Saskatchewan. The merger is effective January 1, 2026.
