Applications are now open for regional parks to apply for some provincial funding.
A $1 million investment from the Saskatchewan Government will help successful regional parks create new seasonal campsites. The Saskatchewan Regional Parks Association will distribute the grants of up to $5,000 per campsite, and applications for up to 200 qualifying campsites will be accepted in 2025.
The province says the initiative is expected to support dozens of local construction and maintenance jobs, while also helping communities capitalize on Saskatchewan’s thriving tourism economy. Last year, regional parks hosted around 250,000 visitors last year.
