An ongoing investigation has netted the Saskatoon Police Service three arrests to the north of the Evergreen and Aspen Ridge neighbourhoods.
According to an SPS news release, officers initiated the arrests of the trio at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday while conducting the ongoing investigation. One of the three people, was observed to be in possession of a firearm and tried to flee into a field near Lowe Road and McOrmond Drive. With the help of a police service dog, the suspect was taken into custody a short time later. The suspect was treated for injuries consistent with a dog bite. Police later confirmed the firearm to be an imitation. The other two people were arrested without incident and the investigation continues.
