Shortly after 1:30 p.m. Thursday the Saskatoon Police Service responded to a report of two women fighting and that there were knives present. As well, bear spray had been deployed. This was in the 100 block of Spadina Crescent East by the Remai Art Gallery.
Oofficers located a woman matching the suspect description nearby. In a news release police say they found a knife in her bag when they took the woman into custody.
There were people in the vicinity, but not involved in the altercation, were suffering the effects of bear spray but no further physical injuries were reported.
A 32-year-old female is charged with Possession of a Dangerous Weapon and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
