A 22-year-old Regina man is facing charges following a serious assault that took place in the early morning hours on Thursday.

Officers were called to the Regina General Hospital, at 2:00 a.m. when a man arrived while suffering from what appeared to be serious, life-threatening injuries.

The investigation led police to the 1900 block of Lorne Street where witnesses told police an altercation took place in that area.

Following continued investigation, Tyler Drugu is facing two charges and made his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court Friday morning.
