Humboldt RCMP are investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision that occurred on October 3, 2025, around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 16 and Highway 20 near Lanigan, Saskatchewan.

Emergency responders arrived to find that an SUV and a tractor-trailer had collided, resulting in the death of an adult male passenger in the SUV, who was a citizen of another country; his family has been notified, though no further details have been released. The SUV’s driver and two other passengers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital, while the tractor-trailer’s lone driver reported no injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing with support from a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
