The Saskatoon Blades extended their winning streak to four games Friday night by upending the Swift Current Broncos 4-1.

The line of Cooper Williams (pictured) between Hayden Harsanyi and Zach Olsen broke out for the Bridge City Bunch, combining for six scoring points with all three scoring a goal and adding an assist. For Williams and Harsanyi, it was their first tallies of the season. Rowan Calvert extended his points streak to eight games by notching the fourth goal for the Blue and Gold, now 6-2-0 for the season. In addition, Ethan McCallum stopped the final 25 shots he faced…28 of them in all…in his first start in two weeks. Only Anthony Wilson, on a power play, beat McCallum for the first goal of the night as the 4-3-0 Broncos have lost all their games so far this season after scoring first. The Blades return to action Saturday when they host the Kamloops Blazers at 7 o’clock at SaskTel Centre. CJWW’s broadcast starts at 6:45 p.m. Kamloops is 3-3-0 to start the season after losing 5-2 Friday in Prince Albert to start their East Division road trip.
