The Regina Police Service is now offering a space for the public to carry out face-to-face transactions related to online marketplace purchases.
The new “Safe Transaction Zone” is located in the parking area on the north side of police Headquarters at 1717 Saskatchewan Drive. The zone is clearly marked with signage and features designated security cameras. The area is also well-lit, but it is not monitored 24/7.
So far, in 2025, Regina Police say they have received upwards of 75 reports of fraud and other crimes, like robbery, related to online transactions.
Saskatoon set up such a zone in March 2021on the west side of the Saskatoon Police Service Headquarters.
