A 40-year-old man suffered serious injuries and is being treated in hospital after a stabbing over the weekend.
Saskatoon Police Service responded around 6:50 a.m. to the 800 block of Bedford Road on Saturday after a passerby saw a man suffering from injuries.
Members of the Serious Assault Unit are investigating. Anyone with information is asked to contact Saskatoon Police or Crime Stoppers.
Meanwhile about seven hours earlier, shortly before midnight Friday, police responded to a call involving intimate partner violence.
When officers arrived at the location in the 1300 block of 20th Street West, they found a 47-year-old man with a stab wound. He was transferred to hospital in serious condition.
Police believe the suspect fled the scene with the victim’s cell phone but was located a short time later.
A 19-year-old Saskatoon woman is facing charges including Aggravated Assault and Robbery.
And around 6:30 p.m. Friday, Saskatoon Police officers responded to the area of 20th Street and Avenue H after a witness reported seeing two men on bicycles when one of them stuck the other with an axe.
Officers were able to locate the male matching the suspect description nearby and brought him into custody after a short pursuit.
The man is now facing charges of Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and breach of court conditions.
The victim was not located.
