Robbery
The Saskatoon Police Service says officers were dispatched to 21st Street East and 2nd Avenue South Tuesday and located a man who had been robbed of his headphones and assaulted by an unknown male.
The 26-year-old victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police identified a suspect in the back alley of the 100 block of 2nd Avenue South and say he was allegedly in possession of the stolen headphones.
A 29-year-old man is charged with Robbery.
Weapons call
Around 2:30 Tuesday afternoon, Saskatoon Police responded to a mall in the 200 block of 1st Avenue South – Midtown Plaza – after receiving a report a male and female had stolen an item at the mall and when confronted the male brandished bear spray.
When police arrived, security directed officers to the suspect’s location where he was taken into custody without incident. Upon his arrest, police say a can of bear spray was located in his waistband. A 22-year-old man is charged with Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Carrying Concealed Weapon, and breaching court-imposed conditions.
