Leader RCMP charged four people in relation to multiple vehicle theft-related calls in October, all believed to be connected.
October 5th Leader RCMP received a report of vehicle theft overnight from a business in Leader. Their investigation located the vehicle in the Kindersley RCMP Detachment area.
On October 9th, 10th and 12th, Leader RCMP recovered vehicles in their detachment area that had all been reported as stolen from the Kindersley detachment area.
Four people were arrested: two on October 10th in Liebenthal and two on October 12 in Leader.
Thirty-one-year-old Amber Mcnab, 32-year-old Daniel Vierling, 40-year-old Jeffrey Lawless and 47-year-old Andrea Christianson, all from Medicine Hat, AB are facing charges in connection to the investigation.
Jeffrey Lawless is charged with:
-one count, theft under $5000, Section 334, Criminal Code;
-three counts, theft of a motor vehicle, Section 333.1, Criminal Code;
-one count, break entering and committing, Section 348(1)(b), Criminal Code; and
-one count, possession of ammunition while prohibited, Section 117.01(1), Criminal Code.
-one count, break and entering with intent, Section 348(1)(a), Criminal Code.
-one count, possession of break-in instruments, Section 351(1), Criminal Code.
Andrea Christianson is charged with:
-one count, break and entering with intent, Section 348(1)(a), Criminal Code.
-one count, possession of break-in instruments, Section 351(1), Criminal Code.
-one count, possession of property obtained by crime, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code.
Daniel Vierling is charged with:
-one count, possession of property obtained by crime, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code.
-one count, possession of break-in instruments, Section 351(1), Criminal Code.
Amber Mcnab is charged with:
-two counts theft of a motor vehicle, Section 333.1, Criminal Code.
-one count, possession of break-in instruments, Section 351(1), Criminal Code.
