Positive Covid-19 tests are trending downward across the province while influenza test positivity is rising slightly.
According to the Saskatchewan Health Authority’s respiratory illness report, Covid-19 test positivity has slumped in the past three weeks from 9.6 per cent to 5.9 per cent in the current week. Influenza test positivity is rising but remains at low levels.
The common cold was the most prominent respiratory illness making its rounds during the reporting period between October 5th and 18th.
There were no deaths related to Covid-19 or influenza reported in the province, and hospitalizations for both diseases remained stable and low. Covid-19 hospitalizations increased slightly from 42 to 43, with ICU admissions increasing from two to three.
