Kamsack RCMP are warning the public of a potentially dangerous drug circulating in the area after responding to multiple overdose reports in the past two days, including three overdoses within an hour today (Wednesday).
Officers are not aware of any deaths, but naloxone and other medical interventions had to be used. The Ministry of Health has been notified.
RCMP are urging people to watch for the signs of an overdose, which include slow, weak or no breathing, gurgling or choking sounds, blue lips or fingernails, as well as dizziness confusion or exhaustion.
If you see signs of an overdose, stay with the individual and call 911 or your local emergency number.
