The Saskatoon Police Service says officers responded to a report of an assault that took place near Bishop Murray High School in the 600 block of Wiggins Avenue South after an eye witness saw a person being beaten up and ran to the school for help.
This waa around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and while getting details from the witness, they received another report of an injured person having been seen walking towards a home in the 1100 block of 11th Street East. When officers arrived they saw the assault victim being helped by a person who lived at the home.
Police say their investigation determined the 19-year-old male victim had been sitting in a nearby park when four to five unknown suspects entered the park, approached the victim, and assaulted him. The suspects then fled the area.
Members of the School Resource Unit and Patrol are continuing to investigate.
