The City of Saskatoon says that city crews and road maintenance equipment are prepared for winter following an Environment and Climate Change Canada weather notification calling for up to 12 centimetres of snow starting Thursday morning and ending on Saturday.
The City warns that road conditions can deteriorate with the winter weather and adds that they will be monitoring high traffic streets and de-icing them when needed, beginning with Circle Drive and freeways.
Snowplows and graders are ready if the snow accumulates. People are reminded to watch for blue and amber lights and allow the road crews to do their work.
Drivers are reminded to adjust their driving for winter and leave room for sudden stops.
