Lloydminster RCMP arrested 30-year-old Catlin Heathen following an incident with a firearm.
Yesterday (Tuesday) morning at 5:57, Lloydminster RCMP and the Alberta RCMP Police Dog Services found a person with non life-threatening injuries following a firearm complaint.
It was determined that the incident was targeted and Heathen was located at 8:29 a.m. and arrested without incident. He was in possession of a loaded shotgun as well as ammunition.
Heathen has been charged with discharging a firearm with intent, pointing a firearm, careless use of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, knowingly possessing a firearm while unauthorized, failure to comply with a probation order as well as three counts each of possession of ammunition while prohibited and possession of a firearm while prohibited.
He will appear before trial in Lloydminster Provincial Court on November 10th.
