Some interesting resolutions are on the table at the Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities mid-term convention in Regina.
Reeves and councilors will vote on 26 resolutions Wednesday afternoon.
Some of the highlights include a call for the return of the two-license plate system to help identify vehicles used in rural crime; asking the provincial government to pass legislation to give people more rights to protect themselves and their property; and requesting SARM lobby the Ministry of Agriculture for improved support measures to help farmers implement effective deterrents to protect grain stored in grain bags from wildlife.
The SARM mid-term convention runs Wednesday and Thursday.
