A male teenager has been charged by La Loche RCMP in relation to a fatal collision with a pedestrian in La Loche.

The collsion occured on October 31st on Washington Avenue. The pedestrian was taken to hospital and prounounced deceased. He was identified as a 58-year-old man from La Loche and his family has been notified. The suspect vehicle did not remain at the scene.

The teenage suspect was arrested following an investigation and charged with failure to remain at the scene of an accident causing death.

He will appear in La Loche Provincial Court on December 29th. He cannot be named as part of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
