The incident happened around 8am Friday at Avenue I South and 13th Street. The man was pushed from behind and someone drove his vehicle away.
Officers attempted to stop the vehicle at several locations, but the suspect evaded police and hit police cruisers in the process. A tire deflation device was deployed at 11th Street and McNaughton Avenue. The vehicle was located abandoned in a parking lot at Avenue J and 20th Street West.
A suspect—believed to be under the influence of an intoxicant—was arrested nearby. A 28-year-old Saskatoon man is charged with robbery, dangerous operation of a vehicle, impaired driving and failing to comply with court-ordered conditions.
