Charges have been laid following an investigation by Battlefords RCMP after two theft reports came from the Summerfield Beach area.
The first theft occurred on October 28th, where a dirt bike was stolen from a residence. The second theft occurred on November 4th, where several tools were stolen from a parked vehicle.
On Thursday RCMP executed a search warrant at a home on Moosomin First Nation and police say the dirt bike and stolen tools from the Summerfield Beach thefts were recovered. They also located and seized ammunition. As well, a man and five women were arrested at the scene.
The police investigation continues but 26-year-old Andy Swiftwolfe of Moosomin First Nation was in provincial court Friday charged with two counts of possessing property obtained by crime under $5,000 and one count of a weapon contrary to order.
