Police have arrested and charged three people in connection to a 2024 homicide.
At around 7:30 p.m. on December 18, 2024, officers were executing a search warrant at a home in the 1700 block of 22nd Street West. Upon walking in, they found a deceased man.
Three men and one woman were taken into police custody for further questioning but were later released without charges.
Then, on November 6, just a week ago, 41-year-old Donovan Lemstra was arrested by members of the Calgary Police Service in Calgary in relation to this homicide. Lemstra has been charged with first degree murder, offering an indignity to human remains, and unlawful confinement.
Two more were arrested on November 12 and 13. Forty-year-old Michael Landry and 27-year-old Michael McCallum were arrested by the SPS in Saskatoon and now face the same charges.
All three men have since appeared in court and were remanded into custody pending their next appearance.
