Lloydminster RCMP are investigating after receiving a report of an assault and theft of a vehicle.
On Wednesday, police initiated an investigation and quickly spotted the stolen vehicle. RCMP Police Dog Services were deployed, and a track led officers to a residence in the area of 48 Avenue and 32 Street. Investigators obtained a warrant to enter the home and arrested three people inside. Two were released.
Now, 40-year-old Amanda Ironstand from Lloydminster is charged with assault with a weapon and possession of property obtained by crime. Ironstand was brought before a justice of the peace and released on conditions, to appear before the Lloydminster Provincial Court on Dec. 15th.
The investigation remains ongoing.
