An RCMP investigation  determined that between 8 and 9 a.m. on Monday, November 24, an unknown individual approached a mane and discharged a firearm, injuring him. The man was taken to a medical centre with injuries described as non-life threatening.

The suspect is believed to be male. He was described as wearing all black clothing at the time of the incident. Stanley Mission RCMP used a Remotely Piloted Aircraft System and searched the area for an individual matching the suspect description. The suspect was not located. Stanley Mission RCMP continue work to identify and locate the suspect and ask the public for assistance.
