The Western Hockey League is idle and returns to action with 4 games tomorrow night. The Saskatoon Blades return to action on Friday, November 28th when they host the Medicine Hat Tigers. Game time is 7 p.m. at SaskTel Centre. CJWW’s broadcast starts at 6:45 p.m. with play-by-play at 7 p.m. The Bridge City Bunch have 14 wins, 9 losses, 2 extra time losses for 30 points…good for 4th place in the Eastern Conference. Medicine Hat has 13 wins, 6 losses, 5 extra time loss for 31 points…good for 3rd place in the East.
The Prince Albert Raiders return to action next Friday, November 28th when they visit the Brandon Wheat Kings. Game time is 7 p.m. at the Art Hauser Centre. P-A has 16 wins, 1 loss, 4 extra time losses for 36 points…good for 2nd place in the Eastern Conference. The Raiders’ next home game is Saturday, November 29th against the Medicine Hat Tigers. The Montana’s Canadian Curling Trials begin today and run through Sunday, November 30th in Halifax. The event features 8 women’s and 8 men’s teams, split up into two pools with the top four teams advancing to the page playoffs. The winner of each pool will represent Canada at the upcoming Milan Cortina Winter Olympics in February. Saskatchewan is represented by the Rylan Kleiter quartet from Saskatoon-Nutana and the Mike McEwen foursome from Saskatoon-Nutana, both on the men’s side. Team Kleiter has 1 win, 3 losses…tied for 6th place in the Men’s Pool. Team McEwen has 2 wins, 2 losses…tied for 4th in the Men’s Pool. On their schedules today…
