The call about an injured man came in around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday from the 100 block of Avenue W South.
Police say he told them he was attacked with a machete and that he didn’t know the male suspect who struck him.
The victim was transported to hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police or Crime Stoppers.
Meanwhile, on Friday evening, Saskatoon police responded to a disturbance in the 200 block of Avenue V South where two men were reportedly kicking the front door of a house and threatening to use bear spray.
Officers located two men matching the suspect descriptions nearby and police also say they were in possession of bear spray.
The men, 18 and 20 years old, are facing charges of Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace and Carrying a Concealed Weapon. The 20-year-old was also found to be in breach of court conditions and was wanted on outstanding warrants of arrest.
