Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced that he has appointed Canada’s former Finance Minister as an Advisor on Economic Development to Ukraine.

In a social media post Zelensky described Chrystia Freeland as highly skilled in these matters with extensive experience in attracting investment and implementing economic transformations.

He said that for the sake of Ukraine’s recovery if diplomacy delivers results, the country needs to strengthen its internal resilience.
