Prince Albert RCMP responded to an armed robbery around 11 a.m. Last Friday in the community of Little Red River.
Officers determined that two suspects armed with a shotgun, went to a house in the community and demanded keys to the resident’s truck. No one was injured but the suspects fled in the stolen tuck and at 1:15 p.m. Friday afternoon RCMP located the stolen truck on Sturgeon Lake First Nation.
When they tried to pull it over, the vehicle backed into a ditch and those inside took off on foot. After a short foot pursuit, RCMP say the driver and two passengers were arrested without incident.
Thirty-five-year-old Karalynn Naytowhow from Montreal Lake Cree Nation, 20-year-old Lacey Halkett-Turner from the community of Little Red River and 40-year-old Clarence Turner from Sturgeon Lake First Nation are each charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 while Naytowhow is also facing break and enter, armed robbery, and weapons charges and Clarence Turner is charged with fleeing from police and resisting arrest.
All three appeared in provincial court on Monday and Prince Albert RCMP say the matter is still under investigation as they try to the identity one of the suspects from the armed robbery.
