For the first time in the history of the Kraft Hockeyville contest, there will be 13 provincial and territorial winners, meaning that there’ll be a Saskatchewan community receiving $50,000 towards helping out with their rink.
Nominations are now open and will remain so through March 1 at KraftHockeyville.ca. Of course, two finalists from the 13 initial provincial and territorial winners will advance to the final. The runner-up gets $100,000 and the 2026 champion receives a quarter-million dollars plus the opportunity to host an N-H-L pre-season game. Following is the news release…..
Kraft Hockeyville nominations are officially open, and the community stories are already rolling in from rinks across the country. Since this is the 20th anniversary year, the program is doing something big with a new format that guarantees rink funding in every province and territory, including Saskatchewan.
For the first time, Kraft Hockeyville will name 13 provincial and territorial winners, which means at least one community in Saskatchewan will receive $50,000 From there, two finalists will move forward, with the runner up receiving $100,000 and the 2026 champion earning $250,000 plus the opportunity to host an NHL preseason game.
