The Regina Police Service and Saskatchewan Coroners Service have commenced a death investigation after police attempted a traffic stop near Saskatchewan Drive and Albert Street around 3 a.m. Monday only to have the vehicle speed off.
It was located by the aerial support unit, but everyone had bailed and fled the scene.
However, police found a deceased person inside the vehicle. Investigation led officers to a home in the 3700 block of Dewdney Avenue. The death is considered suspicious and no name is being released at this time.
And earlier this past weekend, a death investigation got underway by the Regina Police Service and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service after a deceased man was found on Saturday morning.
Officers responded to the 2000 block of Prince of Wales Drive at 4:59 a.m. where the man was located deceased.
Police say at this early stage of the investigation, there are no further details that will be released to the public. The victim’s name will not be released at this time.
