A fourth person has been charged in connection to a homicide investigation from Regina, where a man’s body was found inside a vehicle.
Shortly before 3:00 a.m. on January 19, officers attempted a traffic stop near Saskatchewan Drive and Albert Street. The vehicle evaded police but was found a short time later by the RPS Aerial Support Unit in the 1400 block of Princess Street. All occupants had exited the vehicle and fled the scene. Officers on the ground searched the suspect vehicle and located the body of 56-year-old Michael Ross inside. Further investigation led officers to a home in the 3700 block of Dewdney Avenue.
In the latest arrest, 30-year-old Destin Doherty is charged with Indignity to a Dead Body and Accessory After the Fact to Murder. He will make his first court appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court Thursday morning. He was arrested alongside 33-year-old Shyla Keewatin Tuesday evening following a police operation in the 400 block of Toronto Street.
Keewatin is charged with First-Degree Murder and Indignity to a Dead Body. The two arrests already made were that of thirty-seven-year-old Steven Myslichuk and twenty-seven-year-old Kobe Samual Fiddler.
