The story of Waylon Jennings comes to the Broadway Theatre on Wednesday March 11 as a storytelling concert that goes beyond a standard tribute, focusing on the life behind the outlaw image.
The show traces Waylon’s second chance after the ill-fated place crash that claimed the lives of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and The Big Bopper. It tells the story of his fight for creative control, his excesses, and his redemption, all woven together with the songs that made him a legend.
Performed by award-winning Canadian country musicians, the night blends iconic music with real stories, celebrating Waylon Jennings’ lasting impact while keeping classic country alive.
Show co-producer Graham Neil called the show to chat about it.
