Airdrie Alberta’s own Kyle McKearney has gone from local bars to major stages in just a few years, earning 10 CCMA nominations and an Alternative Country Album of the Year win. He credits the surge to writing music for himself again, leaning into honest storytelling and producing everything from his home studio.
His new single “Rearview” sat in his phone for a year before becoming a big idea for a single. This is a heartbreak anthem built for sing-alongs, and fits perfectly into his high-energy live show with his band The Outliers. With a concept album titled Wildflower in the works, Kyle’s momentum isn’t slowing down.
