The Saskatoon Police Service says two teens armed with a machete have been charged in connection to robberies in the 33-hundred and 34-hundred blocks of Fairlight Drive.
Around 6:30 p.m. on Friday police responded to the business in the 33-hundred block where an employee said they had been threatened by two-armed teens who stole cash and liquor then fled the scene. Just before midnight officers responded to an assault and robbery in the 34-hundred block of Fairlight where a 22-year-old-woman said she had been beaten by two males before her cell phone was stolen.
One of the males involved matched the description of a suspect in the earlier robbery and they were arrested shortly after midnight following a foot chase in the area of the 200 block of Langevin Crescent.
The two males, aged 15 and 16, are facing four counts of robbery while the 16-year-old is also charged with Breach of Release Conditions and Obstruction.
