The Sashbear Walk returns to Saskatoon on Sunday May 3, marking the second year of the annual walk being in our community. This is in support of borderline personality disorder awareness. Walk coordinator Sheena Dawn Ritsand joined us in the studio to explain how this walk helps raise awareness around emotional dysregulation and BPD while supporting the Sashbear Foundation’s free education, webinars, and skills training for families across Canada.
The five-kilometre walk will start at Kiwanis Park near the Bessborough, with registration opening at 10 a.m. Participants can also expect activities, games, and a silent auction as the community gathers along Saskatoon’s riverbank to help reduce stigma and spark conversation around mental health. Registration, volunteer opportunities, and donation links are available at Sashbear’s website.
