Green Shirt Day is coming up on April 7, raising awareness for organ donation while also honouring donors who made selfless decisions, like Logan Boulet following the tragic Humboldt Broncos bus crash. Hundreds of people in Saskatchewan are waiting for kidney transplants, with thousands more across Canada.
Lindy Brown (Donor Coordinator) and Kim Berscheid (Sask Transplant Program) with the Saskatchewan Health Authority stopped by to talk about the importance of Green Shirt Day. They emphasized registering as a donor at givelifesask.ca, and having conversations with friends and family. It can help save lives.
