April is Autism Awareness Month, and Autism Services of Saskatoon is inviting the community to take part in a message centered on listening, acceptance, and belonging. Director of Family Programs Alex Scott joined us in-studio to highlight the importance of celebrating people on the autism spectrum and recognizing the unique ways they experience and navigate the world, while also encouraging people to learn more and get involved locally.
Throughout the month of April, there are multiple events and partnerships happening across Saskatoon, including collaborations with the University of Saskatchewan and fundraising efforts with Stacked Pancake and Breakfast House, where select menu items support the organization. From workshops and online sessions to volunteer opportunities and new merchandise, there are many ways to engage, support, and help build a more inclusive community.
