The 22nd season finale from Live Five Theatre & Sorry/Grateful Productions brings the Tony Award-winning musical “Assassins” to the The Refinery stage. Actor Jordie Richardson visited us in-studio to break down what to expect. From months of rehearsal to tackling the layered, complex music of Stephen Sondheim, this production leans heavily into character-driven storytelling.
Jordie is portraying Leon Czolgosz, and he had to build the character from scratch due to limited historical references. The result is a sharp, thought-provoking, and darkly comedic experience that explores themes of disenfranchisement and the so-called “American Dream,” challenging audiences with uncomfortable questions while still delivering moments of charm and satire.
Tickets are moving quickly, with added shows already announced! Grab yours while you can! Assassins is live at the Refinery between April 16-22.
