As artificial intelligence continues to make its way into more aspects of every-day life, Ai-Sask is keeping everyone informed with the first ever Saskatchewan AI Expo.
Ai-Sask Executive Director Kaitlyn Hebert says the expo is a good opportunity to get some hands-on experience with the Ai developments happening right in our province.
“We tried to contain it to the context of Saskatchewan. We really wanted to highlight Saskatchewan businesses, Saskatchewan talent, both at the post-secondary level and the entrepreneurial level.”
If you’re interested about the risks and challenges of Ai, there are also seminars about ethics and governance. Companies will also be present for a hiring showcase.
“They’re going to showcase what makes working for them so exciting and talk about what kind of talent they’re looking for specifically, so that networking can be very focused and intentional at the event.”
Hebert adds that whether you’re a lover of all things Ai or still on the fence about it, the expo will have something for everyone.
“I think being able to come together and talk about it respectfully and diversity of opinion is always great. The more learning we can do, the more we can demystify or debunk some of the misunderstandings of it.”
The expo is targeted at everyone Grade 12 and above and is taking place on April 27th at Prairieland Park.
