We’re exactly one month out from the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s 2026, going down May 30th. This is a nationwide fundraiser, with the Saskatoon event at River Landing. It’s all part of a province-wide and national push with the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan, with walks also happening in places like Prince Albert, Regina, Swift Current, and Moose Jaw. Easy to sign up at walkforalz.ca, and you can do it solo, with a team, or just show up day-of.
Big reason this matters, Alzheimer’s and dementia are hitting hard here. About 20,000 diagnosed in Saskatchewan right now, and that number’s expected to jump big over the next few decades. All the money raised stays local, funding support programs, research, and resources for families. Day of the event is super family-friendly too. Expect games, face painting, activities, plus a 1.3K or 5K walk.
